Bidrage med feedbackWe were stuck sitting outside the door, even with a reservation that specifically said we didn't want to. The food was very good, but the service was sub par
All our meal times were excellent with taking out the chicken cake, which came out in a cast iron pan and outbided. the waitress said oh no, it should be so that this person had only a few bites and was not impressed(she is a restaurant owner.) the pork jambalaya and gumbo were excellent. we would definitely come back when we get up.
We had a very nice lunch on Monday afternoon. our server was friendly and attentive. we had fish and chips, fried catfish and nashville style spicy chicken sandwich and shared a side of the Mac cheese. we enjoyed all our meal times. it was also a nice bonus that they have put a section for dogs friendly tables to the side, so we were in the position to our well behaved pup. we would definitely go back if we were close.
Great South dining experience. Was skeptical due to mixed reviews, but it was very good. Unique menu, cool building, excellent service. Only on the bottom it was loud.
I had high hopes for Ole Savannah, given that it's hard to go wrong with Southern comfort food, and the its location on the banks of Esopus Creek. But from the minute the bland, watery cocktails arrived, lunch was expensive and disappointing. There was only one server covering the entire floor, my order was wrong, my partner's entree was overcooked, my father-in-law waited 10 minutes for ketchup for his fries. Overall, it's a nice place to go to enjoy a beer on the patio in the summer, but the food doesn't justify its NYC prices by a long shot.
