Bidrage med feedbackWe turned up at 14:00 today and were told the kitchen was busy so we would have to order drinks while we waited after one hour we received a tiny piece of makeral and about a dozen moules as starters we enquired if and when we would get a main course and the waiter rudely said he had no idea the restaurant was on obviously totally over booked for lunch and no hope of serving us so we left so the whole experience was a complete waste of time ... Avoid unless they up their game
The food is delicious, very well prepared and presented with fresh seafood an absolute must if you dine here. The service was faultless, in particular a shout out and big “thank you” goes to Nathan who made my birthday lunch a really lovely, experience. All together a wonderful time was had by both of us and we’ll definitely be back.
Me and my parents had food today at The White Horse for restaurant week. All I can say is amazing! Staff are super polite and love to have a laugh. Super knowledgeable about food and drinks. Food was perfect. Would 100% recommend you try it here.
Food is best ever! Service and atmosphere great too. Definitely recommend you visit if you are in the area.
Firstly we were sat in the bar, 4 of us with our dog, not the restaurant which maybe the majority of the reviews were based on? The restaurant looks fancier with lovely views. The service was ok, a couple of issues with my daughter’s drinks and her meal was given to another table so we had to wait for that which is never good. Friendly staff. Had to ask for menus having been shown to our table then forgotten about. The food was good but like with many of the other reviews it is very expensive. We thought we’d try it as a treat but were disappointed. The mussels were very gritty. The plaice was really nice but pricey. The king prawns fiddly. When the fish and chips did arrive they went down well, but we were expecting more given the prices. The dressed crab and chips I had for example is £22.
