Although the decor may not be to everyone's liking, the cleanliness of the restaurant and the friendly staff more than make up for it, creating a welcoming atmosphere for enjoying expertly prepared cocktails and flavorful dishes.
A cute Fear and Loathing, Hunter S. Thompson themed dive bar. An eclectic and vivid, Alice in Wonderland looking trippy atmosphere with random knick knacks. A small bar with an abundance of drinks and your average burgers and bar food. There were no drafts, only cans and bottles. There is a bucket special, buy two Coors light and $2 off the second one. Our waitress was awesome and super sweet, waiting on us, the entire bar, making drinks, and she made all the food. We stopped off the road for a unique change of scenery. There is no website, so it was tricky thumbing through photos trying to figure out what they served. I am always looking for fresh, healthy vegetarian options, and unfortunately, this was not it. I ordered the grilled cheese with cheddar and provolone and grilled veggies. The veggies were Brussel sprouts, orange peppers, onions, broccoli, and zucchini, which is great. However, the grilled cheese was pretty skimpy, could 've used more cheese (only two slices, not filling) for $10 and the veggies were too greasy/oily for me (not true grilled veggies) I couldn 't stomach them. My partner, on the other hand, enjoyed the chicken and bacon sandwich with tater tots. I would recommend this place for the atmosphere, beverages, bar food, and great service. My review is purely on my expectations of vegetarian food.
Food was ok but overpriced for what you get. The first drink was fantastic the second didn’t have as much alcohol. One bartender was great the other seemed annoyed. Our bill should have be $51 +tax but came out to $66 should have ask for an itemized bill but just wanted to go.
A bar you'd expect to find in Las Vegas but it's in Kimball, NE. The owners were amazing and the bar staff were too. It's a funky tribute to Hunter S. Thompson with a classic bar look. No funny business here, just fun and beer. Locals were cool and the area felt safe. I absolutely recommend. *If you have peanut allergies, don't even walk by the door, lol.
Food was delicious! Portions generous! Ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger.
