Crotty's - Kilrush

Enjoyed a lovely meal and drinks here while out to watch a rugby match. Steak was cooked perfectly with a tasty pepper sauce and sides. My wife had the chicken/mushroom vol au vents which were also lovely followed by a delicious choc mousse dessert. Would definitely recommend.

Booked in for 2 nights ,legged it after one..it was awful..in major need of a refurb and modernisation...really really don't bother...was only accommodation we could find after a fab day at cliffs of moher..

Me and my boyfriend decided to give Crotty's a go this weekend, but talk about a letdown. The tortellini tasted like it was thrown together from a jar you'd find at Lidl. And the fish and chips? they were a disaster – the fish was practically inedible. This was our first time in our lives sending food back to the kitchen. On the upside, the staff were actually pretty nice, but honestly, that couldn't make up for the mediocre food. we left extremely disappointed especially hearing about Crottys as such an iconic pub. Save your money and your taste buds.

Greetings left a lot to be desired. Staff at the bar wouldn 't acknowledge me. Had to wait a while to even be asked was I OK. Eventually got the menus. We asked for our table to be cleaned and we we 're told that we should have just picked a clean one . We were then told that we had to order quickly as the lunch chef was going home. Staff member was rude and short with us. Customer Service was definitely lacking. Food was average. Would not go back. Be warned

The hotel contacted us by text!! on the day we was due to arrive to inform us there would be no hot water. The hotel asked if we wished to cancel or not? We would never have found alternative accommodation at such short notice as we had four rooms booked. We accepted there would be no hot water and a discount, but we was unprepared for not having any water in the morning as they had turned off the water at 8am so they could start the work on the repairs. This was done without any consultation as if we’ve been advised of No Water We certainly wouldn’t have stayed as there was no toilet facilities etc. If they had advised us they where turning off the water we would have got up earlier or requested they start the work after breakfast which would have been the decent thing to do. Very disappointed with lack of communication and I couldn’t care less attitude.
