Bidrage med feedbackAbove average Japanese/ sushi restaurant. Prices are not bad for the food. Rainbow roll was good, buk Sakura was great. Dinner salad and dressing was really good, especially the dressing. Miso soup tasted bland and water down almost. I had the seafood dinner special. Hibachi rice was also bland and seafood tasted like it was low quality frozen seafood from Aldi across the street. The sauce made it eat able. My son got chicken and steak combo and that was good, rice again was bland too. Would I come back and have another try, probably.
The sushi is divine, and the hibachi is to die for. The service is friendly and attentive. Yamato is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Eastern CT. Wheelchair accessibility: I came on in crutches at our last visit to Yamato. The door was held for me, and we were given the table closest to the door. Convenient and very thoughtful.
The Godzilla roll is my favorite sushi here! My kids and I love the steak fried rice!
I have been on a hunt for some good vegan Asian food for the past couple weeks. Stopped in here to try, I asked them if the vegetable yakisoba noodles had any animal products. The hostess did a great job checking with the team and finding out that yes, they use butter but they would be happy to prepare it without the butter. So I ordered that, as well as a vegan sushi roll. Both items were fantastic. The yakisoba noodles had a variety of delicious vegetables, which was great. The sushi roll was just fresh and fantastic. This will definitely be my go-to for vegan Asian dining going forward in the area. Vegetarian options: They have a lot of vegetarian options, and they are able to accommodate vegans as well if requested.
Sashimi cut too thick like stew beef. Real sushi chef or out of work butcher?Staff not just ill trained, but not trained at all. No set ups provided till we requested. Wine placed on empty table and then so called waitress disappeared till I pushed my wheelchair to the bar and yelled that we needed a waitress. We each had soup, but were not asked what we wanted and each got a different kind. My friend got a mushroom based soup, and she is allergic to mushrooms. Potential lawsuit or worse. Manager just shrugged about all of this. At the cash register next to our table, the manager and waitress were having a giggling fit. We had to ask them to lower their volume or move away.So you have been warned.
