It's a roll tide against bulldog rivalry thing. But the owner is not a roll tide fan but a auburn tiger fan enough said I tried the smothered porkchop with rice ,fried okra and Mac and cheese everything except the Mac and cheese was slamming. It seemed like the Mac and cheese was baked with flour, wasn't that tasty to me but it wasn't too bad someone else's taste buds may feel different. hence the 4.5 stars instead of 5. I highly recommend you try them out you will be pleased. Keep in mind though some of the items on thier menu are only served on certain days. In the end though it was good service and good food. Give them a try.
To die for! Them turkey necks blew me out the water. The sweet potato pie was heavenly. Such a divine experience. Will definitely use Sweet Home Alabama Soul Food for wedding catering services for my upcoming wedding. My day has been made!
The food was good, but all tasted a little the same (copious amounts of pepper on each dish). Serving sizes are very large, but I still feel like the cost is a bit high.
Great food. I had the fried chicken with greens and cabbage. Absolutely nothing bad to say about it. Your food isn’t done immediately. But perfection takes time.
I love eating here, everyone that comes to Texas always ask me what is the best place to eat and I tell them sweet home Alabama I love ?? you Bae
