Shilo Killeen

Had not eaten, but the bar and the affiliated club was amazing. it had great music and a cool atmosphere.

Not very busy upon entry, yet the service was mediocre, at best. Seemed very unorganized and inexperienced in terms of the wait staff. No knowledge of the menu and ingredients. Waited at least 15 minutes to get water. The wine selection was decent, however, the selection physically available was lacking. Also, the food was not the greatest, at least not what the prices would have indicated. The chicken breast was the consistency of moist rubber. The steak was incredibly tough to chew and cut, especially with the issued butter knife. The only redeeming quality about the food was the half-rack of ribs and sweet potato fries, albeit a bit salty. Extremely disappointed. For 3 people, 1 cocktail and glass of wine it was $84 not including tip. Trip Advisor indicated that this was the number one restaurant in the Killeen area... After this experience, I must beg to differ.

There isn't a steakhouse here anymore. The setting is very nice for the motel/building it's inside of, but there was a 10 item menu which started with the single employee telling us the 6 things they were out of. We were the only customers in the building, and we just left because there weren't any menu options we'd waste our time ordering.

All the food was bland except for the catfish and shrimp. The 3 cheese pasta was bland. The Cajun pasta was so oily and unflavorful. Waitress was inattentive for only 7 ppl to be in their section.

The Thanksgiving dinner buffet was a complete disappointment! The buffet was served in a hallway, very small serving area. Food kept running out, and we had to wait for the food to be refilled constantly. The buffet was very dirty and noone bothered to clean up the serving area. I felt like it was just as dirty as a CiCis pizza buffet after unsupervised children went through and touched everything . The prime rib was so tough and hard to cut with the provided butter knives. The dining room was not decorated or anything for the holiday. It felt very, very cold and unwelcoming. I made reservations here wanting to take my parents to for a nice dinner. I was so disappointed and unimpressed and embarrassed that this is what we got. Golden Corral would have been more impressive than what we got here. The last time I took my family to a Shilo inn buffet, it was gorgeous and elaborate with a beautiful buffet that was extremely impressive and awed everyone who attended. What happened? I do not see me bringing anyone here ever again. For the money we paid, it was not worth it at all!!! I am not happy and will not recommend this to anyone ever again!!!
