The Pipers Inn - Killaloe

The food here was fantastic, the staff really friendly. Can't fault the pub but the campsite was a disappointment. As previous review says the showers were so basic with concrete floors, no sink within the toilet cubical. Accepting the fact we chose a pub campsite, we were very unhappy with music being playing til gone 2am to them have the next hour with campers returning from the pub with no attempt to be quiet. Worst night sleep I've ever had. Lucky the food and the staff were really good. Pub 10/10 but do not camp here !

Outstanding two evenings at the Pipers this week while on holiday in the region. High quality produce, well cooked and fantastic service. The lady who runs the place really looked after us. Will be back

Stayed on the campsite and have to say the facilities are dirty and disgraceful the showers are not even tiled it’s just bare concrete floors and filthy and the toilets are much the same. The pitches are not barely long enough so much so when you want to open the rear doors you are up in the hedge and most of the electrical points are just lying on the muddy ground. There is no hard standing sections the whole site is just muddy grass. The pub restaurant to the front of the site looks lovely and clean and seems busy but to call the this a campsite is a bit of a stretch.

Stunning location and venue. Staff were super friendly and efficient..and food was fabulous. I had been told many times to come here and it lived up to its reputation. We had wings...the bunburger and steak..all of it was perfectly cooked. I will be back.

After reading some reviews after we booked I was a little apprehensive about what I was about to encounter……Happy to report,we were given a great welcome by a very pleasant owner.After informing her that our camping unit was very big I was given my choice on how to set up and nothing seemed a problem to them. The site itself is small,basic but clean,tidy and more than sufficient. Went to sample dinner at the restaurant which was fully booked but the owner again being so accommodating made room for us (on a Sunday)which was amazing giving that there was 7 of us.The meal was fantastic. There may be negative reviews on here but I found absolutely nothing to be negative about…good prices,great service and a warm welcome A+ Well done to the owners and staff We will most definitely be back Kind regards John Lisa Shannon Co,Clare
