We were there on Saturday night. The food was really good, but the service was very bad. We just asked briefly whether empty glasses could be removed as the tables were already very small, we were very badly looked at by the waitress and rolled with the eyes. In addition, I can understand that you need to get everything out in a small room, but so many tables are so close to each other that you hardly have space to move, something is suboptimally solved. What has disturbed us above all is that we had a small child with us, that it is not always possible that now everything can be calm is natural. We were misjudged by the guests every time the child said something! Are children no longer welcome in Kiel restaurants? And another point, we were 7 people, at prices you can calculate yourself what we have spent (entry/main course/wine). I shouldn't have had a tip at the service. But what can the kitchen do? I gave almost 8 tips, and when we agreed, we were not even considered. It's a nausea. We're not coming back.

We've been back to the Banmaai for a long time. We've reserved OpenTable in advance. Unfortunately, the restaurant was full to the last place. We sat at our table neighbours only 20 cm away, which was absolutely not pleasant, because one felt together at a table to accept fewer reservations and would be more comfortable for that. Unfortunately, the service was not good either. We were asked what we want to eat, have ordered and once the wrong food was brought after we informed the service, the food was taken back.The cook then brought the right food with the comment it was not ordered as we wanted it, since we had not already thought of improfessionality to surpass, is absolutely not!! Nevertheless, the food tasted very good! After dinner, the card was brought to us again after request. After half an hour there was still no service and asked if we still want to order something. We then asked and paid after the bill. So with this price-performance ratio, one actually expects something else, we are also used to it differently in the Banmaai, but this time they have been disappointed to measure. Very bad.
