Mövenpick Tallinn - Kesklinna

On a business trip 16-17 January 2024. A wonderful, stylish, clean hotel. I'm leaving tomorrow, but I'd happily stay for a few more days. I will come again Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Quiet, Great value, High-tech

We booked a room with ensuite sauna at the Hotel Lembitu Movenpick Hotel Tallinn on Booking. They charged almost double compared to a standard room, but it was New Years Eve and we were willing to pay the extra, to have a special stay... When we arrived around 1pm the woman at the reception (with indifferent attitude) informed us, that they don 't do checkins before 3pm (she did not even check our reservation or room availability), so we left our luggage and came back two hours later. By then, there was a second lady at the reception, that was much friendlier, but she checked us in a standard room... When we came down, to let them know there had been a mistake, she told us, there was no ensuite sauna room for us available anymore. They offered us a room with balcony instead... later they promised to bring champagne to the room to apologize... And they promised we would receive an email from the hotel manager for a compensation, as soon they reached her. The room was of course not at all what we expected or booked or payed for. The promised champagne was just a cheap prossecco. And at check out the manager on duty during checkin didn 't even recognize us, she just promised we would get the extra charge refunded and had to trust, that we would receive an email after the holiday we never received an email or refund. We complained to booking about the situation, and after 2 weeks they had to let us know, that they did not hear back from the hotel. We are speechless never have we been treated that poorly in a hotel.
