Bidrage med feedbackWe used thyme2cater for my fathers celebration of life 3 years ago, it was fabulous. For my sons wedding, the tasting was amazing! However, the food at my sons wedding was very disappointing. Mashed potato bar, instant potatoes not prepped properly. Toppings 4ft from the potatoes, you didn’t understand what they were for. Pulled pork sliders, not assembled, instead dry pulled pork, no sauce available, no slaw, slider rolls, stale. Mac and cheese was gritty and spots of green. Other rolls were hot dog buns cut in half. They committed to water and tea. They were asked to not bring citrus for the water due to an allergy. They brought lemonade. Watered down at that. They brought food to the grooms room, veggie tray and a charcuterie board, at 9 am when the groom/Groomsmen weren’t to arrive till 3 pm. No ice or form of keeping it cold and fresh with a bottle of opened ranch. It sat there all day long.Veggies trays for guests, were out all day, wilted and dry and not edible.Completely disappointed. There was McDonald’s run during the reception!
Despite the poor reviews, we attended a wedding that they previously catered and thought they did a great job. Our tasting was lovely and we really enjoyed the food. However, we were highly disappointed on our wedding day. My husband and I chose to do a taco bar with 3 meats, rice and refried beans. As we went through to make our own plates, we noticed that they were serving regular beans and none of the tortillas had been warmed. Additionally, our cocktail hour was suppose to include chips, queso, salsa and guacamole. When we arrived at our cocktail hour, we found that queso was the only thing being served and the chips quickly ran out without being replenished. Lastly, we requested twice that a small plate be set aside in a to go box for us to leave with after the reception only to find out the only thing that they boxed up was the beans that were incorrect in the first place. Not to mention, we just returned from our honeymoon only to find out from our guests that 25% of our guest DIDNT GET MEAT FOR THEIR TACOS. Only sides. This company is out of their minds if they think 3 small trays of meat will feed 115 guests plus vendors. We are absolutely embarrassed to have even used them for our big day. What an utter disappointment!! Everything was so clearly laid out on our contract and confirmed multiple times before our big day. We were so excited about our meal and left feeling so upset that we didn’t get exactly what we asked for and agreed on in our contract.
Everyone who worked my wedding rehearsal and reception dinners was very nice. Unfortunately the professionalism was lacking and the food at my wedding reception was cold and unseasoned. It was definitely not worth the thousands of dollars I paid. We were all pretty disappointed.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.I had my wedding last weekend and this company was supposed to cater and bartend. Well, first they showed up 2 hours late. We had agreed on them showing up between 1-2 pm and they showed up at 3, 30 mins before my wedding started. Then we were supposed to have a hot chocolate and apple cider bar (that we paid for) and they only brought hot chocolate. In our contract they were supposed to provide coffee pumps and did not bring them. Instead we had to resort to using the venues (thank goodness they had some). They refused to set up the hot chocolate bar that we paid for them to do, they handed the hot chocolate to my coordinator and made her do it. Second the menu we had agreed on was wrong. We were supposed to have chicken as one of our entrees and they did not bring any, only steak. This resulted in the venue coordinator running to foodlion to go get some so they wouldn’t run out of food for the guests. The sides we ate were not of the quality that we had at the tasting. Seemed like they went to Walmart and got frozen sides and made them right before. Third, we paid for there to be desserts and they only brought one of the three we paid for. Then they put the one dessert they brought out with the appetizers so it was gone before it could be put on the dessert table. This resulted in the venue coordinator going to foodlion to get desserts so something could be put on the table. Fourth, the bartender refused to put the beer on ice so it was warm while being served. My coordinator had to tell him multiple times to put it on ice and he finally did so right before cocktail hour.I made multiple signs for the menus to be placed with the food and we were only able to use one because everything was wrong. They only send 2 employees for a 125 people wedding. Over all the professionalism of this company is subpar at best. We have pictures of everything and receipts from when the coordinator had to pay out of pocket to fix their mistake. Before the wedding, their office manager was emailing me back very fast to confirm the menu, set up times, and to make sure they had all of the information correct. Now they will not email me back and I have only heard from them once regarding the issue. I was trying to talk directly to the owner and the office manager was the only one to respond to me. She said “she is trying to resolve the issue”… there is nothing to resolve the wedding already happened. We just want our money back. Paid way too much for this TERRIBLE service. Save yourself the time and DO NOT book this catering company.
Please do not hire this catering company. I was the maid of honor in a wedding that was catered by this company. Their services went so poorly we had to hide it from the bride in order to not sour her special day. Here’s a list of everything that went wrong-1. They showed up 2 hours late.2. They only showed up with 2 employees, one bartender and one to work the buffet. (I can’t remember the number that we’re supposed to be working but it was close to 10)3. They set out the appetizers on a table before the ceremony when they were supposed to be passed around during cocktail hour, so there were practically none left for cocktail hour.4. They were supposed to bring 3 deserts (cheesecake bites, brownie bites, and some fruit tart) and they only showed up with the cheesecake bites.5. They put said cheesecake bites on the appetizer table, so they were all gone before the ceremony even started.6. It was planned for us to have both steak and chicken, they only brought steak.7. They didn’t even bring utensils. They brought steak, with no knives.8. All of the beer was warm.9. There was a cake (from a separate bakery) that was only for the bride, groom, and bridal party. The slices of the cake were passed out as we started dancing. One of the two employees began to take up the plates with the cake slices and threw them away before we even got the chance to eat the cake.10. They sent us into a frenzy trying to cover up their mistakes. We had to serve food lion chicken tenders for people who didn’t eat steak. We had to serve food lion bakery items at a wedding.
