Bidrage med feedbackFood is great. Cristy is a really good server. She kept the mimosas coming. Excellent Valentine's day brunch!
The chicken pie lacked flavor, and my friend received a very small piece of bread with her meal. While the atmosphere was pleasant, the food was disappointing.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! The staff is friendly and the food is scrumptious. If you have the opportunity, definitely try the strawberry or lemon cake – it’s amazing. You can tell they’ve put a lot of effort into creating the perfect ambiance; the decor of the building is stunning. A big part of the experience is enjoying the architecture and furnishings while you dine.
My granddaughters and I absolutely loved the food in this charming tea room! When the girls were in preschool and elementary school, it was always a delight to dress up and enjoy the Teddy Bear Tea together. It was thrilling to use china teacups and little pitchers for our tea. The girls particularly enjoyed the scones and cucumber tea sandwiches. Even our relatives who visited from Alabama discovered some unique and delicious dishes during their lunch with us there.
Upon arrival, we encountered a partially blocked driveway, caused by two vehicles parked carelessly. This may have been due to a large bump from a tree root on that side of the driveway, but more likely it was because the women at the only occupied table overlooked the faded parking lines just to the left. With no signs directing customers where to park—none on the open gate leading to a large public parking lot—I can't really blame the other guests. When my sister and I got inside, we were initially seated in a very chilly sunroom. Our server was kind enough to move us to a different table in a warmer area, but unfortunately, we ended up right next to a curtain behind which the kitchen staff was loudly chatting and bustling about. I requested another move, which provided us with much better seating. At that point, there was only one other table for two occupied in the entire restaurant. Our pre-ordered "High Tea," served on a wobbly and broken Christmas-tiered server, left much to be desired. Out of the six decaf teas listed on the menu, only one was available during our visit—the others had run out the previous week, and my visit was on the following Friday. The scones, while tasty, resembled sweet biscuits more than traditional scones and were a bit drier than expected. The mini quiches were warm and quite nice, but they seemed store-bought rather than homemade. The profiteroles were quaint and delicious, while the cinnamon buns were tasty but a bit heavy; they would have been perfect if served warm instead of cold (I ended up dunking mine in chamomile tea, which improved them greatly). The fruit served—just three slices of strawberry for two people, along with eight grapes, six blueberries, two slices of cantaloupe, and two of pineapple—was somewhat under ripe, although the cantaloupe and pineapple were not sour like the rest. The sandwiches, though simply made with crustless white bread and cut into triangle halves rather than more elegantly shaped petite cuts, were delightful. The cucumber sandwich filling, egg salad, and turkey-and-cheese were all satisfying, and the chicken salad croissant was exceptional. When another table was seated nearby, they were less than three feet away from us, making for a total of just three tables occupied in the entire place. Thankfully, we were almost finished by that time. Our server was friendly and accommodating, but I was a bit disappointed that nothing special was done for my birthday—although she did remember to wish me a happy birthday before we left.
