Rockne's - Kent

$27 plus tip for dry as desert sowestrn sandwich. Tepid, overpriced onion soup with unmelted cheese. Won't go back Akron buffet cost less. Service was ok. Spend yr money wisely.

Rockne's was a place I loved to go to back in the 90s when I was in college. Good times. I took my younger 2 kids there and they lived it too. The bacon cheese fries were as great as I remembered. I ordered the Philly because of fond memories. However, mymemories forgot that it is actually a burger variation of the favorite sandwich. Still good, but be advised. Awesome crew, greatatmosphere will return some day.

20 minute wait to get seated was not bad.....but, we then waited 25 minutes with no one even acknowledging we were there. We had to ask a server whom was taking care of our table they had to go ask the hostess. We then had a server 5 minutes later. Healmost did a good job, but after the food was brought out, he kept forgetting about us. A very long and frustrating experience.At least the food was decent.

The staff is great. Friendly, fast service. The food is usually very good so I'm chalking today up as an anomaly. I ordered the slider cheeseburgers and fries. The fries were delicious. The burger was dry and unflavorful, the Buns were stale.

Other than the screaming, misbehaved kids behind us, we had a nice night. Our server was pleasant. The pub was clean. I had been craving a gyro for quite some time and was surprised they offered one. It totally hit the spot! Delicious!
