The Little Banksia - Kensington

Our experience at the café began as soon as we approached, with a friendly waitress offering us a table for two. The café appeared to be housed in a large converted house with multiple rooms, all of which were almost full. The menu offered a wide variety of options. Despite having to wait in line to order, the service was quick and efficient, with all the staff serving us with a smile. The décor was simple - white walls with shelves displaying green plants. I ordered the Kale and corn hotcakes with an iced coffee with soy milk, while my partner ordered the Sticky pork belly with an iced coffee. The coffees arrived promptly, followed by the food just ten minutes after ordering, even though the café was busy. The dishes were delicious - the hotcakes were packed with kale, spinach, corn, haloumi cheese, a poached egg, and sour cream sauce, while the pork belly was perfectly cooked and flavorful with kimchi. The total cost came out to less than thirty dollars per person. This café sets the bar high for breakfast in Perth, comparable to my favorite spot, and I will definitely be returning. 10/10.

We adore Little Banksia and often visit for breakfast or lunch. The service is fantastic, the coffee is delicious, and the juices and smoothies are always freshly prepared. The breakfast menu offers a variety of delicious options, and there are also plenty of tasty muffins and cakes available. We appreciate the availability of good quality gluten-free toast, as many gluten-free options can be disappointing. While it can get busy on weekend mornings, the wait is worth it. Reservations are available.

I absolutely adored this charming café. The porridge I ordered was so delicious that I’ve decided to make it my go-to dish every time I visit. I also enjoyed a soy latte, which was not overly sweet like others I've tried elsewhere. The indoor seating was fully booked all day, which I didn't anticipate since I didn't know reservations were required. I highly recommend this place and am looking forward to returning.

Called in while out on a bike ride and based on Zomato reviews. Really impressed. Despite COVID restrictions the food was impressive. Fresh ingredients. Really tasty. Coffee snob husband also adored the coffee and is likely to be back for more despite not living locally.

Enjoyed the food, good menu selection. Nice outdoor alfresco seating, friendly staff. Inside was a bit stuffy and was hard to hear conversations due to the close proximity of other tables.
