Bidrage med feedbackI was pleasantly surprised by Yummy's Stir Fry! It was really good! My friend and I shared a Shady Dog Roll and it was excellent. Their stir-fried vegetables were also very tasty. You start by choosing a bowl and then selecting your veggies and protein. Everything was fresh and the service was excellent. I have no complaints, I definitely recommend it.
This is the best restaurant in the world. We come here every Monday-Thursday for their sushi Happy Hour specials with $1, $2, $3 small plates. Even though we can't make it for Happy Hour anymore because of work, we still try to come here at least once a week. The staff is incredibly friendly as well.
I was looking for something different because I don't enjoy ramen or sushi. When I visited this restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the unique options available. I opted for a base of cabbage instead of rice or noodles, which was a great choice for me. The selection of ingredients to add to my stir-fry and the mix-your-own sauce were highlights of the meal. The atmosphere was also very enjoyable, with carpeted floors that helped keep the noise level down so I could have a conversation without any distractions.
I wanted to overlook the amusement park that Kemah Waterfront has become on weekends, my dining room partner and I decided to try Yummys Stir Fry. We wanted to try the sushi. The first thing you notice when you go in the door is cleanliness and colorful earth tones of the place. A very relaxing atmosphere. A large buffet-style table can be seen to the left offering raw materials and spices for a Mongolian style. If you have never experienced a Mongolian style fry, I highly recommend it. Basically you get a bowl, choose your own ingredients, then your choice when cooked for you. The selection of ingredients for brewery is quite large, with strong emphasis on fresh seafood. A few steps to the right and you are in the dining area where the sushi bar is the focus. As already mentioned, this area is immaculately clean. The Sushi/Sashimi menu is extensive, with selection you would expect from a fine sushi restaurant. The cook prepares your meal before you with gloves. We started with the Sushi/Sashimi Combo $26.95). That's a lot of food. Beautifully presented, it is a selection of different marine life, including fish, octopus and roe. Next we tried the Crunch Eel Roll $6.25), Crouching Tiger $7.50), Phoenix Roll $7.25) and for good measure, the Seafood Tempura. As before, all dishes were beautifully presented and served at the perfect temperature. Sushi/Sashimi served at the right temperature allows the various flavors of the different sea craters to shine through. Served too cold, everything tastes the same. Too warm and you get sick. Not too cold, not too warm, right! The Tempura battery was light and crisp, served with delicious fish sauce for diving. We were both impressed by the professionals who run this business. You don't fool around. You know what they're doing. The service was excellent. The food was delicious and tastefully prepared. The prices were reasonable; and we made ourselves happy to have found another culinary jewel in the area.
Great food with friendly service and very clean as stated in other comments. I was surprised at how slow it was on spring break holiday around lunch time. There's a lot of people missing out on good food. FYI: LA Cajun roll was awesome.
