Bidrage med feedbackWe had the absolute pleasure to try infusions for the first time as they have this fun dinner event along with Martins Lane Winery and Erica Jane (new restaurant that will soon come to Kelowna). The food was absolutely wonderful, the students who prepared these dishes were...abominating. The service was great, and it makes us very excited for the culinary scene in Kelowna.
I wanted to start with the standard line like Best Secret in Kelowna. But I realized it was so good and so rare that I would expand it to BC. Let me first explain what this restaurant is. It is... a socket for students in the Okanagan Culinary Arts program to prepare and serve their creations. It is not a private swimming or drowning commercial risk. The price of the meal is so far below the quality of the meal, because it is a socket for what they do. There is a way for children to present their talent beyond the classroom. Behind the back wall of the dining room is a complex of commercial kitchen infrastructure that triggers world-caliber cuisine from the cooking school Okanagan College. They are taught and overlooked by top-tier trainers and you get to taste their creations. These are not test flours. It is a proven menu that the children are taught nail, as they are likely many of them after completing wherever they go. The daily specialties challenge them with a variety of preparations. This place has no sign on the street. It has no signing on campus to lead you there. It doesn't even say restaurant on the outside... only infusions. Culinary art. It is buried under class buildings, shops and administrative buildings. It's not hard to find if you're looking for her, but the public doesn't even know it there. A few years ago, I never heard of it, and I've been here for 20 years. I don't remember seeing any advertising. It's the kind of place you're leaning over to your friends while you enter and ask if it's OK for the public. For the price of Burger and Fritten and a slippery plastic chair at Burger King you get a real meal of 5 star restaurant Kaliber. We went for lunch today and for $11, I had the best turkey clubhouse and caesar salad and a chocolate cake for dessert that I remember. My wife had the day 's special of seafood Ragu, while my daughter had a chicken slaughter. Everything was first class. Everything was well presented, as these children are shown, how the flashing joints do it, while loading 3 times as much. And the portions were large enough to qualify as a full meal, not as a decoyed work of art. We saw the dinner menu and plan to go back soon. Parking and finding the place is a challenge the first time you do it. Here's the drill park in one of the public lots. They are well marked. Instead of doing the guy thing and walking aimlessly until you find it, ask a child walking for the Infusions restaurant or the culinary art building. You'll be glad you did it. Oh... and here's something you don't get in any restaurant. Gratuities are not accepted. A donation to the school culinary art program can be arranged if you want. This Directive appears in a footnote of the menus.
What a great experience on campus at Okanagan College. The students in the Culinary Program are amazing. Lunch was perfect and it was very hard not trying to buy some of the freshly baked goods on the way. Huge congratulations... to college, staff and students for such a wonderful experience
I had the opportunity to eat here a few times in the evening and the experience was always wonderful. This time I went to lunch and it was a double positive experience. At first it was a buffet, so I didn't have to decide which nice dish I had. Secondly, Friday is the indigenous day. I was offered Bison meat loaf, two different types of banana, roast beef, a tri-fish, chicken pasta, salmon bisque soup, and three choices of salads. Also you can't forget the candy table. As usual, the service was friendly and professional. If you haven't eaten here, you missed one of the best places in the valley.
My co-worker and I decided to visit the restaurant on a recommendation from one of her friends. We were very pleasantly surprised. I have many food restrictions and still had lots of options even with the buffet lunch. Grilled veggies, multiple kinds of protein, pasta,...potato salad, and even more were all delicious. My co-worker was able to try the apple crumble and crepe brûlée and absolutely loved them while I enjoyed the fresh fruit for dessert. We will definitely be back
