El Taquero - Kelowna

We stayed here as part of a 3-hour food and drinks tour through Kelowna. We had 2 tacos each (a beef; a chicken) and a glass of tequila. It was almost a meal, quite large for a tour of 8 places, of which 6...Have food. Everything was pretty good. However, we have no idea of prices because everything was included in the tour.

We stopped to get us for lunch the other day and the girls here were all so nice and helpful. We ordered the gluten Free Vegetarian Enchiladas, which, although a bit expensive, were very good! They came with a lot of sauce to pour them, and a small side of rice and black bean paste. You were absolutely delicious! We also have a Spicy Beef Burrito and it had quite a lot of heat on it. My husband had to blow his nose and make breaks during the meal. It was huge and so he could hardly finish it. If you are too hungry, this could easily be cut in half and enjoyed by 2. Our food was flat in about 10 minutes. Such a good, hearty lunch.

Authentic delicious Mexica food. The margaritas are also delicious. Prices are average and services were good. I think this is the best Mexican food in all Kelowna.

Funky small downtown restaurant with indoor outdoor dining, we ate inside and were very comfortable. The skillful music was pleasing, not cranked, so my wife I was talking, but still enjoying the voices. I had the beef Burrito (big enough... that I had the other 1/2 for lunch today) Tortilla soup, both delicious. My wife had Tacos, she enjoyed her. We shared the Churros with Caramel Dip for the desert, again deliciously highly recommended. The service was excellent, staff all very friendly all of them in. The co-owner, Izzy, took the time to visit us, we had a pleasant conversation. It was no “how was the food, thank you for coming,” but sincere interest in us, our experience in visiting Mexico we learned more about its background and more about Mexico. I recommend visiting El Taquero again.

Excellent food, tasty and plates were plenty full! ! Margaritas were to die for, very yummy Staff was very attentive, polite and knowledgeable, we came in hungry so the servers tips helped us make up our minds, and she was right! It was plenty and...so good! Cute and quaint place Will be back!
