Golden Palace Chinese Restaurant

I will never return to this restaurant after today! The order was completely wrong, and the woman working there was argumentative and disrespectful. She tried to tell me that they don't make the dish the way I've been ordering it for years, even though I've never had a problem before. I suggest throwing it in the bin where it belongs!

I am quite shocked by the negative reviews as I have been ordering takeout from this restaurant for nearly a decade. Asian cuisine is my favorite, and this place has the best honey chicken, hands down. While I will admit that the ambiance is not the most appealing for dining in, it is perfect for takeout. Overall, great value for delicious food.

The chicken satay skewers had a generic sauce rather than authentic satay, lacking in flavor. The spring rolls had a bland and unpleasant filling. The pork in plum sauce lacked depth and only had a sweet taste. The special fried rice was unremarkable, with the only notable ingredient being school prawns.

Ordered sweet and sour pork and only got sour. How bad do you have to be when the chef can’t even put plum sauce in the dish. Tasted horrible, threw it away. Waste of money never going back and recommend you don’t support them. I mean, it’s the basic of basic meal and they can’t get that right.

Expensive and the food was not up to par! The fried rice was ridiculous and the portion sizes were lacking. No prawns in it or egg or any other ingredients besides rice. Mangolian lamb, satay chicken, rice you get the smallest of portions and no MEAT which you pay for! Even if you dine in the atmosphere is off to the point you get no proper service, staff talking amongst themselves rather then checkin in your table. I saw a table there trying to get some ones attention only for them to be in the kitchen, talking amongst themselves and focusing on takewaways rather then dine in customers. Takeaway is way to expensive and the food remains untasty. I dined in a couple of months ago and it was really good except for the service. I thought by trying it again we would get a better experience and it was just worse! Maybe it’s the COVID 19 but I’m just trying to give them an out here
