Weisses Lamm - Kelheim

This restaurant is Top Notch. We enjoyed another visit to the area and returned to the White Lamb for excellent food and service! I can't say enough served over the big food. We had duck, venison and roasted pig and all were cooked to perfection! You can't go wrong here.

German food served in a German way. Do not come to subtle or small portions! Service friendly. Beer good.

We had dinner at the hotel as the top rated local restaurant was closed for the week. You have English menus. The owner sat at the end of a 6-seater table with another pair at the other end, unfortunately we did not speak German and... they did not speak English so we were unable to meet any conversation between us, like the strangers at other tables. They had wines through the glass and the Merlot was French, so I got that, it wasn't one of the better. I have the lamb and the emptying, the lamb was good, but the bread was emptying tasteless. My friend got the poisoning and sparrow, the poisoning was hard. We share a warm chocolate cake for dessert, it was very good. Whenever the owner orchestrated the guests and service, did he even sniff the beer after it was poured at the bar, I suppose to check for freshness?

First time to Europe so trying new things. I had courdon bleu and french fries in one of Napoleon Bonaparte's first defeats. It was wonderful and so were the lamb brats my husband ordered.

We stayed here twice while visiting Bavaria. The restaurant has the best wurst in the area. They have a nice restaurant with a beer garden out back. Nice place to go for a relaxing meal. The hotel rooms are also nice. Very clean and spacious,...with great showers. It is in a good location in Kelheim, nice town. Excellant family run hotel and restaurant. Can't wait to go back!
