The staff at the Fish Tavern Katernia was very friendly to us. The taverna is about 50 m away from a small beach bay in Kefalos. The tavern is clean and tidy. We ordered the fried calamari, the burger and the souvflaki. Previously we ordered the Greek salad as a starter, along with pita bread and tzatziki. The food tasted very good and the calamari was crispy. On the main course there was bulgur salad, some freshly made fries and a small green side salad. The bulgur salad was very refreshing in the heat. The portions were large and good value for money. We were very satisfied and would come back. After we received the bill, we received homemade cake on the house. Baked by the owner's mom. It was a lemon cinnamon cake. Parking available directly in front of the restaurant. Exceptional fresh food, delicious. We had grilled shrimps, fried calamari, both served with couscous, chips and salad, also eggplant salad which was delightful and packed with flavours peppers stuffed with feta cheese. We paid about £40 for this lunch for 2 including drinks. Totally worth visit.
