とん Xǐ・yú Cài - Kazuno

I decided to try the recommended Vegetable Tonkotsu Ramen at a restaurant known for its delicious tonkatsu in Kakunoichi City. Therefore, this review is based solely on the ramen. When the ramen was served, I was pleased to see that the portion size was quite generous for 780 yen. The soup had a tonkotsu flavor, but lacked a bit of punch in terms of aroma. However, it paired well with the medium-thick noodles, earning it a passing grade. The chewy texture of the pork belly added a great rhythm to the dining experience, and the overall taste was of higher quality compared to other ramen shops. It truly lived up to its reputation as a top tonkatsu restaurant. Overall, I was thoroughly satisfied with the delicious flavors and would definitely recommend this place for a satisfying meal.

There are not many places in Kakunodaira, the birthplace of kiritanpo, where you can eat kiritanpo at night without a reservation. (Only two?) One of those places offers delicious kiritanpo. The kiritanpo hot pot in the picture is served by portion and can be ordered individually. It's a good idea to order one portion for two people and add extras like Hachimantai pork to enjoy a variety of flavors. The restaurant has only a counter on the 1st floor and tatami rooms on the 2nd floor. It may feel a bit intimidating with just the counter, but it's a casual eatery, so you can feel free to visit. Since many regulars from the neighborhood come here, the taste is guaranteed!

I had katsudon. It had a gentle flavor and was very tasty. From the outside, you can't see inside, and there are signs with words like "takeout" and "banquet," so it might be a little intimidating for first-timers, but it's a place where you can eat delicious rice dishes. When I first entered, I was momentarily confused by the impressive counter (the first floor only has counter seats), but I had a delicious meal without any problems. A group of people who seemed to have made a reservation went to the back (second floor?), so it seems like it would be no problem to dine here with a large group.

ゆっくり食事をするつもりが時間がなく、焼肉定食のテイクアウトを利用して電車内で食べました。 クセのある定食屋でも高級品でもない、「まっとうな食事」だなぁと感じました。ごちそうさまでした。
