Angan Lazimpat Rd - Kathmandu

Just like the other outlets of the Angan chain this one serves excellent South Indian food. I never actually tried anything else here. The tomato onion uttapam is just perfect, the accompanying sauces too, especially the sambhar, they get it just right, like in South India. The seating area always comes across as a bit cold and sterile, but the food makes up for it.

They serve a wide variety of sweets , especially Indian flavoured sweets. Indian savoury. The quality of sweets is good too. Try jalebi and kaju barfi.

Best Jilebi in the town. Sweets, namkeens and good quality South Indian food. Worth trying. Parking is a concern here. Prices are at higher side.

A great attempt to replicate Haldiram's or Bikanervala in Kathmandu. We had Masala Dose. It wasn't up to the expectations but satisfied as there aren't many South Indian restaurants around. Served hot and prepared hygienically. Limited space for done in. The range of take away products resembles Haldiram's. In short a good place to have South Indian food in Lazimpat at reasonable prices.

This is a great spot for vegetarian food and desserts. The restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated. However, it can be inconvenient not having wifi and good mobile network inside, as it makes it difficult to pay bills using QR and Fonepay services.
