Mamacoffee (vodickova) - Karlin

The coffee here is great and generally I love visiting this cafe. The only reason it lacks a star is because the service is sometimes a hit or miss. Most of their staff is amazing but sometimes I haven’t had the best possible experiences (that is also possibly due to the fact that I go here quite often and therefore have a higher chance of encountering such experiences). Nonetheless, would very much recommend a visit for the coffee!

Great place to stay with friends. We had a nice Sundays brunch compared with coffee, cakes, salads, etc. Servise is nice and coffee is awesome!!

When travelling or on holidays, you always seem to come across places that become your regular! That’s exactly what Mamacoffee was. It was a place that would be passed at least once a day if not more, as it was just around the corner from our hotel. The first time that we visited Mamacoffee, it was for takeaway. On this occasion, I had mistaken the latte for the decaffeinated Americano with milk. This is not easily done seen as one is all milk based and the other is not. The mistake was made due to the design on the cup. On one side of the cup, there was the label of Americano and on the other side, there was the Latte label. Each side had pictures depicting the type of coffee. Only the latte side was seen on that first time.

There are a couple of mamacoffee's around Prague, each a little different, but all serving BIO and Fairtrade coffee. They were the first one with this type of coffee on the Czech market, and they strive to spread public awareness about high quality coffee and the social problems that hide behind the mass coffee trade and production. If you feel caffeine deprived during your walks through Prague, or just need to hide from rain or cold, and a mamacoffee sign crosses your path, then do not hesitate. This is the place for you.
