Bidrage med feedbackThe ' Five Rivers ' is the best and most authentic Indian restaurant I have come across so far- and I have been to quite a few. From the first moment we felt so welcome in this outstandingly gorgeous place- it felt like stepping into the Maharajah 's palace ! High quality furniture combined with amazing furnishings and decorations make this place feel so special- and we felt like royalty. It was all spotless, even down to the bathroom. The waiters were very friendly and polite, in a natural manner. We hardly had any waiting time for the food , and this food is the best Indian food we have ever tasted ! Spicy and flavoursome, very good portions , the meat so tender you didn 't need a knife. The Mango Lassi we had for desert was also lovely. We can only thank the staff for an amazing evening in ' Little India ' .Should we ever return to Prague, this is the place we will return to !
This restaurant is really beautifully decorated in traditional Indian design. We came in on a week night and were seated right away. We ordered a butter chicken curry and a lamb mughlai curry with some rice and plain naan. The butter chicken is definitely heavy on the tomato side and is not too sweet. The lamb curry was delicious but slightly on the salty side. Luckily the two curries balanced each others flavours out quite well so we enjoyed our meal. The naan bread was great. Having visited many highly rated Indian restaurants during my time in Europe, service here was a little disappointing compared to other restaurants I have visited. The conversation with the waiter around how much we will be tipping didn’t end our experience on the highest note. The bill came to around 40 euros which is a little more than we’d usually pay for an Indian meal. Nonetheless, a great Indian restaurant to try if you’re after a break from the Czech cuisine!
I am very critical for food in Indian restaurants, where they are not authentic rather custom to local needs… I would say almost after a year this is the most amazing Indian food I had… Every food item was really good.. It’s worth to give it a try for Authentic Indian Food
The best Indian I have ever eaten. The butter chicken sauce was amazing, the Lamb Rogan Josh was so tender and juicy. The samosa were delicious. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully.
One Saturday night we dived in as we got an urge for good Indian food. The restaurant is spacious and open with interesting decor, I've not seen an Indian quite like it. The food was lovely, portions were appropriate. I would go back again.
