Bibimbap Korea - Karlin

I had a wonderful experience at this Korean restaurant. The vegetable bibimbap was flavorful but not too spicy, and the kimchi reminded me of the one I make at home. The service was friendly and made me feel at ease. My only suggestion is to add a budget-friendly lunch menu to the options available.

Honest Korean cuisine at decent prices. We were initially slightly surprised that the service was Czech, as it somewhat tarnished the authenticity of this restaurant. However, we later found out from the waitress that she is a passionate Korean enthusiast and had spent some time in Korea, so I had to take back that previous comment. It really feels like Korea there, they even organize tours if you're interested. And the food is great! We fly to Korea often, so we have something to compare it to and we are really satisfied with this restaurant. If only the service was faster...

Formally, the somewhat scattered Korean restaurant is partially decorated with items left by previous owners (several different kitchens have changed in the place over the last two years). As a result, there is a stylistic mishmash without a clear character anchor. However, the food itself is very good, although some may be put off by the limited selection (I personally appreciate it). The service is friendly, although occasionally a bit shy. The overall impression is definitely positive, and the Bibimbap definitely expands the gastronomic offerings in Žižkov in the right way.

So happy to have this placed opened in the neighbourhood! Very friendly staff and excellent food for excellent prices. With my wife we went for Ramen+Beef Gimgap and I took not spicy Bulgogi-bap. The latter was the best, great taste and sufficient portion! Ramen was a bit spicy and good. Small kimchi plates were a great addition. Will definitely come back!

Restauraci jsem měl trochu problém najít, jelikož zvenku a ostatně ani uvnitř nic nenapovídá, že jde o korejskou restauraci. Za interiér půl bodu strhávám. Netuším, zda majiteli přijde, že vzhled kavárny s fotkami českých prvorepublikových filmových hvězd je to pravé pro nabuzení asijsko korejské atmosféry, ale já z toho byl zklamaný. Potěšilo pár stolů obsazenými korejci když jsem jdou místní , vyvolá to očekávání autentického zážitku. A skutečně, jídlo je zde výborné a rozpačitý dojem z interiéru je ten tam. Škoda jen, že se obsluha česká nezeptá, zda host ví, co je co a jak se co jí. Možná to dělají, ale na mně poznali, že to netřeba : Ceny mi vzhledem k charakteru podniku přijdou trochu vyšší, na druhou stranu zde dostanete autentickou kuchyni a ne nějakou počeštěnou variantu.
