German Soul Kaohsiung Dé Yì Suǒ

After a 200-kilometre journey I flew a German court, was ready to wait until 17:30 and gave German Soul an attempt. Schnitzel with mushroom sauce, (it would have been rude to lick the plate). The pig legs must be pre-ordered, and since I saw a few plates, I understand why. HUGE and they were looking for mouthwater! Then the bonus feature: I didn't order online, but the landlord didn't hesitate to drive home at all and get what I wanted. Brats, Liver Sausage, Mettwurst, Bologna and Bacon.... I went to Anping with an overloaded bike. Top quality and great taste... I'm back with the pork legs. Update 2022-08-06 we went with 3 guys for the pig bones. As expected, they were huge, juicy and the skin crispy as you would get them on the famous Oktoberfest in Germany. But these here are about 3 times the size, so better bring your friends with you.

After 3 months of living in Kaohsiung, this place was like paradise! Everything is delicious, homemade food and also German products! The decoration and the music is really beautiful! Totally recommended, I felt like in Germany

Update after take out. Still 5 stars. Got pig knuckle for two+ and a few pretzels to go for our wedding anniversary along with some of their wonderful frozen bratwurst to go. They threw in a small mud pie. Wonderful flavor for all items! We added some Haagendaz dark chocolate ice cream with almonds. Wife said it’s the best dessert she’s had in who knows how long. Had always wanted the pig knuckle but need to pre order so keep that in mind when you go. ——— Great food. Great service. Good location (A bit off the main road but near the night market). Good atmosphere. Price is reasonable. Portions are sized right. Will definitely come again. Even got some meat to take home frozen. Ended with Apple kouchin dessert with ice cream, also good.

Love the meat! But the bread is just not for me. Nice and friendly staff. And the owner, Pascal, is very polite too.

Homemade sausages are all good! And the potatoes and the smokey pig are great!!! Can't believe we can taste these delicious German dishes in Kaohsiung! Costs are fair and service is good. Very recommended for those who want to try delicious food, other than local food.
