Ricky's Pit Barbaque - Kansas City

I had the Variety Dinner Plate and it was awesome! I also the chilli and it was very good. I had a sample of the baked beans and they were delicious too. Everyone one was really nice to me. I would strongly recommend stopping in and having a great meal!

Wonderful food and great desserts. We'll have to come back for the four things we missed: smoked catfish, onion rings, sausage and sweet potato pie. The sample of chili was amazing also. The meats were very tender and moist. My favorites are burned ends and Ricky's did not disappoint. The owners are great people, so go try some good food company.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, and isn't very big, but WOW is the food amazing! I got burnt ends and they were exactly what I wanted. Ricky had me try the chili, and I honestly think it's the best I've ever had! As soon as I walked in they were super friendly and made me feel right at home. I plan to take everybody I can there. Highly, highly recommend!

Although, as others have mentioned, the store is a little on the small side, and does take something away from the overall atmosphere. But, it's great food if you like BBQ. It is easy to get to, clean, always friendly, and the staff will assist you in anyway they can for large orders carry outs! I have eaten there twice, and done the carry out thing several times for family work parties. Most everyone loves Ricky's Pit BBQ While you're there, you've got to try their baked beans! I have been to the BIG places, but this tiny operation produces some great food! Try it...

The food is great! Ordered a beef sandwich and a soul food plate and was greeted with a smile and excellent service. Would I recommend Ricky's signature soul food or specialty bbq? Yes I would and I also plan on visiting Ricky's whenever I'm in KC.
