Simbad Bakery Persian Kabob - Kanata

It’s a new place on Hazeldean Road and it is an amazing addition to Kanata’s ethnic cuisine scene. This place offers two things: pies and kebabs. We ordered a family platter, Simbad Special, that came with 5 kebab skewers, rice, salad, and sauces. The kebabs were fantastic, and the salad was really good. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to my friends.

I buy Koobides from here every Friday night. The kababs are juicy and full of flavor. Their rice is decently portioned and cooked to perfection. Having tested all Persian kabab places in Ottawa, I can say Simbad is by far the best.We also buy two meat pies every time we visit to eat on our way back home. It’s really hard to say no to them.One feedback I have is to make chicken leg kababs available, and increase store hours on Friday and weekends.

Absolutely unbeatable service. And the food speaks for itself. I went there with my wife and we had the “Royal Kabob” platter and it was too good. The chicken and beef was cooked perfectly, and it was delicious. The rice and salad sides complimented the whole dish. They have so many varieties of food. Their meat and cheese pies are always ready and delicious.I don’t care about reviewing restaurants but I had to take a couple of minutes to review this one.Simply speaking, great in every way.Yes, I recommend it.

I was buying cheese and meat pies every time I stoped by Sultan Butchery and recently I had dinner and the chicken and beef kabob with rice was delicious (6stars) best chicken ever. The lentil soup was also very good, but Litle spicy for us. The staff crew were amazing and very welcoming. I’ll definitely return for lunch or dinner.

My family been searching for a kabob place in Ottawa near Kanata that has a decent family platter. Happy we found this place. Ordered the Simbad special today for take out. Good portion of food for the price. Owner is very friendly and polite.Whilst we were waiting we noticed everyone getting their meat pies so decided to get one. My children loved it.We will definitely be coming back regularly.Vegetarian options: Had vegetarian pie options
