Ruth's Chris Steak House - Kohala Coast

Great steaks. We had bone-in filets and they were spectacularly good. The sides were very good. They were happy to split a Caesar salad for us. We have been eating a more plant forward diet, feeling great from that, but this was a treat and it was wonderful. Definitely pricey. We have gone to Ruth’s Chris about once a year for a couple years. Plan to continue this tradition.

As always, RC is a fantastic dining experience. We were happy to find a RC on the Big Island during our stay. The food was excellent, prepared just right, our waiter was on top of our needs and made our dinner very special. I have a pepper allergy and it’s in my notes. Everyone who served us knew about it and discussed it with the chef. Thank you everyone for making our dinner GREAT.

The service was so slow, it took 30 minutes to get our first cocktail. Waitress was super distracted. Booth smelled like sour rags. Food was very good when it finally arrived.

How can Ruths Chris from his signature au gratin potatoes and since when is Gristle in a fillet?

As always the food is fabulous, and more than we can eat in an evening. I recommend ordering the Specials that are served if you order by 6pm. The waiters are attentive and going there is always our choice for a special evening out.
