The fik is situated in an old apartment that was once home to two siblings from Kalmar. They ran a business on the ground floor and lived on the second floor, where the fik is now located. The interior is decorated in a style reminiscent of the early 1900s, complete with hand-painted wallpapers, furniture, and rugs from that era. The menu includes options such as a hummus sandwich, which can be topped with their delicious bean salad. Vegan options are also available for pies, hard cookies, chokladboll, and snickers cookies. The staff members are friendly and happy to assist with any inquiries about vegan offerings. For more information about the siblings, click here: [hidden link]
The restaurant offers an amazing experience. As you climb the stairs to the second floor, you'll feel transported back in time. The historical atmosphere and unique furniture in the various old-school rooms create a cool vibe. It's a perfect spot for enjoying a traditional Swedish coffee break, known as 'fika'.
Very cozy, pleasant atmosphere with beautiful furniture of the old school. the pecan, the blueberry and the apple cake were amazing! slightly expensive overall.
If they are looking for semla in february, they have one of the largest semla in kalmar city and has large mandelstücks. love it with hot tee and coffee.
Beautiful small caffeine with good food. it is so hard to decide that I have gone several times, traveling over a few different ones. Berry-Kobbler come with ice (which they also sell directly below, at least in summer) or vanilla sauce they should also go for the old building and eclectic old furniture and decor. someone had fun coming with all that stuff (to be an old building, it has some old, steep steps that will be a barrier for some. if this is a problem, they could try to ask on the ice side when it is open. Maybe they can get you.
