Elysium Resort 5 Star In Rhodes

Very beautiful hotel with admirable architecture, the most luxurious on the island next to the others which seem very sad. The only problem is that we had a corner room facing each other with a balcony. Apart from that everything was perfect. Everything is thought out without a false note, a concept from a talented architect. One downside: outside of the hotels it lacks cleanliness! We stayed here for 1 week in October 2023. Unfortunately never 5 stars Positive: The very courteous hotel staff (in the restaurant) and also the cleanliness of the facility. The variety of food was also good and the dining area was nice. Negative: Unfortunately the hotel is a bit remote. But you can reach many places by bus On the first day we were taken to a ground floor room without a sea view even though we had booked one, we had the feeling that they were trying to fob us off (a young couple). We really didn't understand. Apparently there were enough rooms available. Upon request, we were put in a room with a sea view the next day, but the shower was broken and the rest of the furnishings were shaky/broken. It took days to “fix” the problem with the shower, but the drain was still blocked and it was very uncomfortable to shower. Because our vacation was almost over and we didn't want to change rooms again, we just stayed there. We actually chatted around every day via the hotel app because of problems... So something like that shouldn't happen to a 5-star hotel! At checkout they didn't ask us how we found our stay, they wanted to avoid us somehow. Therefore there is also a star deduction for the reception staff, who unfortunately do not treat all guests equally. Rooms: 2 Service: 4 Location: 3

The hotel is good, with a very well-kept park-like area and a great pool. But for a 5* hotel with high standards of quality, something was missing. As seniors, we were guests of the hotel for 10 days in mid-October. While other younger guests were given very nice rooms in the main building, they wanted to put us in a dark room on the lowest level in the Helios annex building. The receptionist 's reasoning: We can then get to the restaurant and the pool without stairs. The hotel is fully booked and we have to wait two days for a better room. For us, this statement was clear age discrimination! Since we had also booked a sea view room, we didn 't accept that and wanted to leave immediately. We were then assigned a room 3104 in the Eos house. Instead of the sound of the sea, you can constantly hear the sound of the air conditioning in the neighboring hotel. The equipment was, let 's say, functional, the balcony door was broken and couldn 't be locked. This was deliberately overlooked when cleaning the rooms. The service in the restaurant was very attentive and the cuisine was good and varied. The guest service apologized the day before departure for the behavior of the receptionist, but the bad aftertaste remains, especially because of the unspeakable situation at check-in. Very well-kept, comfortable resort directly on a beautyful beach( blue flag), big, clean waterpool. Great hotel service. Tasty and varied breakfasts. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
