Kallangur Tavern

We were staying at a motel across the street. When I tried to order drinks for my 19-year-old son using his digital NSW license, they refused to serve him. This was the only place in QLD where we encountered this issue. We ordered 6 meals but only received 5. After waiting for 20 minutes, we were able to get someone's attention and they promptly refunded us and arranged for another meal. The food was good considering the price.

We stayed at a motel near the pub and decided to have dinner there. The food was tasty and the beer was served cold. I ordered the seafood and spaghetti dish. Normally, I find the amount of seafood in dishes to be lacking, but they offered to double the seafood for an additional $5, which I thought was a great deal.

My husband, grandson and I went for a meal on Sunday night. We had the seniors roast meal and grandson had a burger. The meals were great. Nicely cooked, presented and an ample amount. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Will come back again.

The Tavern is meeting all COVID requirements. The bistro is air conditioned and spacious. Plenty of parking outside. The service was friendly and quick. We ordered the salmon and rump steak, and both were reasonably priced and delicious.

I have dined at this restaurant with various groups and have always had a great experience with the food and service. I will definitely be returning. The serving sizes are decent, so you won't leave hungry. You can order your meals either at the counter or through an app using the QR code provided on the table.
