Generally stiff, cool and incomplete... Our impression as guests of the Brasserie of the Schlossgut Schwansee. On business trip to Lübeck we made a trip to Gross Schwansee to take a break and eat lunch. There are many parking spaces around the castle. We entered the complex from behind and came past a small garden pavilion. This was prepared for a dinner and beautifully decorated. The park, the paths and the very large mansion differently you cannot describe it on us to make a well-kept and clean impression. However, the park lacked something like low ornamental woods, dams and rose beds. Old trees are present, but the extensive lawn areas, equipped with some deck chairs, dominate everything. Garden architects would place oil as space or place sculptures. A functional building with clear lines of new architecture awaits you in front of the mansion with a castle restaurant. On the opposite side, the stable is redesigned as a brasserie and wellness area. In front of the house you can see a pond with a water fountain. On arrival shortly after 13:00 the lawn was mowed with a lawn tractor. Castle restaurant or brasserie? We chose the brasserie. We wanted to see and try what the castle has to offer. We entered the house and no guest was in the guest room. Due to the great weather we decided to go to the terrace. Some guests were sitting there. The parasols were stretched. We found a sunny and protected place. The furniture is simple and robust. The tables were not covered. A flowerpot and a sugar dispenser coughed the wood. Ashtrays and menage were missing. The waitress brought the cards and greeted us with restraint. Since I visited the toilet, I could not look into the map yet. The sanitary facilities are located on the upper floor and can only be reached by a narrow staircase. This staircase is the absolute guest killer. An older lady with walking stick fought the stairs before me. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained, sterile and modern. Back at the table we first ordered a Cola 0,2l a 2,50€ and a yeast wheat alcohol-free 4,90€. After a short waiting period, this brought us a shy young man (Azubi? . The Cola in a gastro bottle was not gifted. After selecting our dishes we waited for half an eternity to place our order. In the meantime, three men took place at another table, which was immediately served by a male service in suit. It didn't take too long until the dishes were served. Finally, the waitress came and accepted our order: a classic beef bouillon with vegetable stripes and table tops inlaid 6,80€ and a large garden salad, various raw food salad with beard liquor and yogurt marinade 9,80€ as starters. As the main dishes we chose Geled Sauerfleisch, Bratkartoffeln, Exhausted bacon and herbal sauce 14,80€ and steamed cod in strong brew, green beans, smokespeck and fine asparagus a 17,80€. Now it was said to be patient. We were able to observe the service at his work. The other guests were served with the already known distance. We could not see or hear a smile or an unavoidable conversation. However, we could see and hear the landscape gardener who took up his motor sense towards the terrace. He ran around the trees and lanterns holding the stuff. All guests found it quite annoying. The cutlery for the appetizers was brought to us in house embossed much too narrow sacchettos. Even the spoon for the soup was put in there. Some time later we got the appetizers. The soup (200ml looked good and fresh. The balance of use was very good. The strength and taste of the table top is excellent, not dry and well cut into the mouth. The vegetables, including brown mushrooms, were even and still had bites. The broth tasted a little lazy, but good. Strong taste and an intense brown from a good Consommé I missed. The garden salad was a mixture of carved fresh carrots, peppers, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and Lollo Rosso salad. The salad sauce contained that beard liquor, but we didn't taste yogurt. We felt it more like a thin taste-neutral cream. After we had eaten, the waitress was cleaned without words and we got the new packaged cutlery for the main dishes. We had to wait for the next gear.
