Famous Dave's -b-que - Kalispell

The restaurant was really nice and well maintained in terms of cleanliness. The POS systems were out of date and didn’t have the rewards system in place when my party and I went to check out. None of the employees knew what I was referencing (which was worrisome. The server and manager had to talk with their IT person who knew what I was referencing. I was informed that it was in progress but this place hadn’t had their systems replaced or updated in 10+ years.

This was our first time at Famous Dave 's. We were met by a young lady with an, I don 't care attitude. She sat us in front of the door so I asked if we could sit at another table because it was so cold. She said. No, I have to alternate, then she just walked away. I looked around and there were plenty of seats available so she could have sat us in another spot if she would have been kind enough to do so. Our waiter was a young man who was everywhere except at our table. It took him about 10 minutes to come over and take our order. Then it took about 20 minutes to get our food that was delivered to our table by some other employee who didn 't get all the information for our order so we had to wave our waiter down for our drinks, twice (he forgot after the first request) and our condiments that we requested with our meal. Then my hamburger that I ordered WELL DONE came to me medium rare. I would have told our waiter but I couldn 't find him and everyone else was running around doing their own tables. So, I ate the edges of my burger and my fries. When our waiter finally came around to give us our check I told him about my burger and he said with a snotty tone, Well I wish you would have told me sooner . His tone made me angry so I chose not to reply to his comment because I would have been very rude to him. He never came to our table to ask us how our meal was or if we needed anything or to refill our drinks. He was an absent waiter with a bad attitude. Our ticket showed that he gave us FREE DRINKS (just iced teas) to make up for the burger (I am assuming) that I could hardly eat but he should have refunded my whole meal instead. That 's what a good waiter would have done. Both people represented Famous Dave 's in a very poor light. I understand times are tough and things are different then 2 years ago but there was NO reason for them to be as unprofessional as they were. We left giving NO tip and choosing to never return.

I wanted an unforgettable dinner for my birthday and I had one! Although the main seat area was closed, after a short wait, the floor manager invited me to sit at the bar where I was greeted by the front of the house personnel. Although I had short staff this season, in the midst of other dramas of the cooler variety, the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy and the service was everything I hoped!! My bartender (SHOUT TO MEGAN!!) made sure I had everything I needed! And even though the restaurant had a busy Sunday service she had made the night by making my order with super relaxed and warm and conversation and super composed service! Thank you. My food order came out so quickly and the ribs were brilliant and together with the Mac and cheese they really stood out. Definitely causing your order to a baked potato that the kitchen the crispy outside and fluffy interior. Thanks to famous Daves!! See you soon!

WOW! WOW! I've been waiting to eat here since I was a kid, and I'm sure I wasn't disappointed! I have the meal for 2 for me and my husband and it was the best choice you get everything and the bride is amazing, even without sauce!

My husband and I came to dinner and we were greeted by Alan in front of the housekeeper. He was incredibly brilliant! He brought such a positive energy that made our night. He did everything to make sure he helped all the staff. I'm sorry if I spell it wrong, but our server Cinda was as amazing as well. The attention and kindness was degree A! The food was fantastic, but these two wonderful people did the night and I thank them so much for everything they do! We will definitely be back for this 2!
