My wife and I dined here on a Saturday night and all but a few tables were full. I have looked at a couple of other reviews and didn't think it was as cramped or a noisy as others have indicated. Certainly not as bad as some other restaurants.Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful without exception.We ordered garlic bread for a starter and as we were in a steak house, had to have the steak.. We both chose the 150gm beef fillet.The garlic bread was good but the main meal was simply divine. We would have liked some additional vegetables to be included in the price of $42. Side dishes were available at extra costThe wait time for the main course was satisfactory. I was just starting to wonder when it was going to be served when, presto, it arrived. Restaurant was BYO with no corkage. A big plus! Would we go back.......definitely. It will become a regular for us
Been here a couple of times now and my partner and I are happy to call it a favourite. While a bit pricier, you get value for your money. There seems to be a slightly unique spin on familiar dishes, and the chef takes pride in presentation. The staff are lovely and there is variety on the menu. Always ask to hear the specials - they are often something a bit different, but delicious. The atmosphere is simple but ambient if it isn't too busy. We will be back.
Excellent service, great food. The food arrived at good intervals, no long waits, although that being said it was a Tuesday night so not super busy. Nice atmosphere & no fluro lights!! Very enjoyable relaxing evening.
As usual the Blue Ox served up the tastiest dishes, group of 4, entrees, mains and desert were had, clean plates left, great service, friendly atmosphere, nothing was a problem to the staff, we've been before, and we will be back again
