Rustica - Kalamazoo

Good Selection and cooked to perfection, little pricy and our waitress wanted to keep a scheduled table usage

Excellent food, great service, good value.What an amazing fine dining experience! The food here is fantastic. The service was very good even though it was busy. The atmosphere is nice, upscale. The kitchen is in the dining room enclosed in glass, watching the chefs is an added joy.

Rustica is our FAVORITE restaurant in Kalamazoo. The wait staff is always so friendly and the food is delicious!! We recommend this restaurant to everyone. My absolute favorite is the Gnocchi and my husband’s favorite is the Duck. We love how the menu slightly changes with the seasons. Always a great experience!

Once again Rustica (Rus-ti-ka) was outstanding food. The best for 30-40 miles around. We enjoyed the smoked salmon pate. Deliciously smoked large chunked fish paste served cold almost as a charcuterie. I had the seafood spaghetti, which included shrimp, muscles, and scallops. But the highlight was the red sauce! I always like a good spaghetti sauce with seafood that is tomato-based and this is definitely the best that I can remember! I will go back and have it again. My mother had the cod which was poached and served with a small salad. Both were delicious. The fish had the texture of perfectly baked lobster, but the flavor of a well seasoned fresh fish.

An upscale restaurant in downtown Kalamazoo, Rustica is a quiet place with relatively limited seating. I would recommend getting reservations, although a couple of small walk in groups were able to be seated. We each had a glass of wine from their extensive wine list. I had sautéed bay scallops for an appetizer they were small and succulent! I had the salmon dinner and my wife had the flank steak. Both were delicious, and the flank steak was a generous portion almost more than both of us could eat. Service was excellent. Other items on the menu looked delicious as well. We did not have room or time for dessert. I recommend Rustica! Parking: Rustica is located on the Kalamazoo Mall, so parking is limited close by, but there is other on street parking and a garage not too far.
