Barefoot Zone - Kailua-Kona

While we were looking for a bathroom on the way to the green sandy beach on this jewel. The public bathrooms on the lower floor of this shopping center were the first draw, as all the other gas stations and cafes that we passed had signs to say up, only drive or no public bathrooms. I guess this is a residual effect of COVID quarantine. But the Barefoot Zone was worth the search! The Pesto Crepe was a glorious mixture of avocado, cauliflower, broccoli, mushrooms and thin-cut rainbow carrots and came with a tasteful broth soup filled with vegetables, barley and a few alphabet letters. The crepe was happy divided by me and my daughter, and the fruit bowls looked like works of art that we have to buy back. What a happy accident to find this place!

This place has closed for a while during the COVID and is now open again in a new place. And thank God. It was by far my favorite restaurant in Kona before and it is now. The food is so great and nutritious and they give you so many wonderful vegetables that are hard to find in Hawaii. The amount of food they give is worth the money because they join it! The people who work there are super nice and it is really some of the most soul satisfying food ever. It's like a home cooked meal from your mother, which is just randomly a vegan gluten-free professional cook. I recommend everyone. Please support you as trying. You won't regret it.

Hidden jewel in Captain Cook, serves fresh delicious products and friendly service. We had the Burrito w/Soup and the Dragon Fruit Bowl and will definitely be back before we go home. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Great place. We tried the açai bowls and juices. The bowls were full of freshly cut fruits. They were fresh and tasty and we wish we could have come back for more options in the menu were tempting. Too bad it's opening pretty late in the morning. Don't miss it!

Was referred by a local so found this gem in the Islander Inn. Fresh, vegan friendly and have good vegetarian food too. The service was good and everything was made on the spot freshly so nothing pre-made which was fabulous. Definitively will be back for the acai superbowl. The burrito and quesadilla was delicious and very filling. Happy to have come here for vegan food.
