Maui Specialty Chocolates - Kahului

My goodness, I almost don't want to review this place for fear of it getting way too popular--they sell out by early afternoon as it is. This is the best mochi on the island, bar none! I especially love the chocolate and the peanut butter mochi, which leads me to a serious dilemma: how many should I buy to eat immediately, how many can I fit in my luggage, and how do I allocate my precious, limited supply of mochi to my loved ones back home?

Their mochi is mind blowing! How can the mochi be so soft? How can the mochi wrap around the filling so perfectly? How can the chocolate truffle be so smooth? How can the peanut better &white chocolate be so balanced? It is not too sweet but so satisfying! Best mochi I've ever had and the best dessert in Maui. You can call them the day before and pre-order because the mochi do run out. We tried it once in the middle of our Maui stay, and on the last day we bought 3 moredozens to bring back to our friends in the mainland.

Old school local chocolatier still going strong. The chocolate truffle mocha and the peanut butter chocolate mochi are delicious! ????
