Pagliai's Pizza Johnston

Pagliai 's is probably my favorite pizza place in Johnston/Urbandale. Their thin crust is what I 've always considered normal pizza. It 's not crazy thin, but it 's not like eating a loaf of bread, either. Their sauce and toppings are great, as well. Not the most accommodating place. When we were being seated they took us to a table with chairs, given that there were several booths open we asked if we could get one of those. The host was very unsure if that would be possible, after offering to wait for a booth to be cleaned they were able to seat us in a booth. The service was amazing the moment you walk in the door! Our server, Kim, was spectacular! She was quick about getting drinks and food and she made sure we had a good experience. Definitely will be going back!

I drove from Arizona just to eat here, by far the best pizza. The homemade sausage is amazing, cheese is perfect. Sauce is just right. Can?t go wrong with this pizza. Deep is my favorite but thin is just as good.

On the hunt for the best pizza in Des Moines and this is in the top. I grew up going to the Pagliai?s in Grinnell and it?s still at the top. My favorite part about dinning in here is the window to watch the pizza being made. The kids just love it. When we were there the staff was so nice, waving at the kids while they are watching. They loved it. Highly recommend. Favorite pizza is sauerkraut, green olives, and their in house made sausage. So good!
