Bidrage med feedbackWe always go for Sunday brunch at least 2-3 times during our winter stay in ajijic to el bambu. visit friends here. they are impressed how we are. with the Lakeside setting a variety of breakfast items for 150 pesos. I can't start counting. how many decisions one has. of fruits, fresh make omelettes of their choice, pancakes, hot vessels of authentic Mexican dishes, breakfast desserts numerous sweets.2 selection of coffee hot chocolate. I'm just sitting around everything. a good opportunity to relax the people. they can also order from the menu any other day of the week. the molcajets are very good. especially the shrimp. but remove the garnel on their plate..as they keep boiling and add them to their tortillas.
Friends wanted to go to an authentic Mexican restaurant. el bambu was our choice...you loved the variety of Mexican dishes.available restaurantsside made it even more remarkable. they are very friendly. we all enjoyed our Sunday buffet next to Chapla....I am sure this will not be our last visit.
We went to El Bambu, about 12 on a Saturday, not knowing they were having a buffet at the time. Money was collected at the door a reasonably price 130 pesos (about $7 US per person. We were promptly seated right by the water...and greeted by our waiter who had enough English to easily communicate with us. After bringing us our drinks, he led us to the buffet and started to showing us the various items. I cut him off pretty quickly to tell him I didn't eat meat, so he showed me the veggie and fruit items, cereal and yogurt, and offered to make me an omelette to order, which he did and it was delicious. He noticed right away that I hadn't grabbed any silverware from the buffet area and brought me some after I had reached our table with my plate. He was very attentive, and I wish I had asked him his name. The buffet was what I'd call a Mexican buffet lots of Mexican meat specialties and few vegetable items. I didn't see any what I'd call American breakfast sausage, pancakes or waffles. There were some breads, sweet or other. There was Mexican coffee and hot chocolate and also horchata (delicious! on the buffet. I definitely would like to return to try items from the menu. Since I was only there for the morning buffet, and I felt it could use some more variety, I am giving this place 4 starts. The service was 5 star .
Fantastic place to sit down, enjoy view of the lake and grab a bit. Food was fresh, beer cold, service polite and prompt. They have a happy hour between 3 and 5 pm. It was so peaceful and wonderful that my husband wanted to return...the next day (we are about 2 hour drive from there). Apparently they also play live music later in the day. There is a small playground for little ones.
En una búsqueda por un lugar tranquilo, bien ambientado, zona para niños, vista y descenso al Lago de Chapala, además de buena comida, me encontré con este restaurante que además es de precios muy accesibles.
