Mei's Kitchen - Jewett City

Two stars because the apps were good. Steamed shrimp dumplings and crabs Rangoon both were very good. The nets were not. Pad Thai shrimps had over cooked frozen shrimps and muddy noodles, the pork bread was coarse. Bad tasting and no pig. We threw it away.

Creates a simple order of soup, egg rolls, shrimp dumplings and rice and waited 40 min when it was reliant on 20-25. I came around 30 and I watched the countermaid pointed out that it was buried under other cards. I'm sorry. Bad customer service.

I went in to order how it was an impulse of the moment's decision to get Chinese food. They were busy, but they got my order pretty fast. Everything was good. It's easy to spend a lot of money when you're hungry and look at the menu.

This place is amazing it has authentic food the owner Mei is amazing she makes sure you are well taking care. We were visiting from NYC and New Haven County and we have no regrets coming to this place . I highly recommend coming here.

No idea how this place is ranked so high because the quality of service/food is just outright terrible and this was a first time visit. They were way off on the pickup timing, they forgot $10 worth of food in my order and they gave me a hard time on the refund once I drove back to get my complete order. For a second the owner made it appear as if it?s my fault, denied me the refund and slipped free crab rangoons in my order that I never asked for. I had to remind her that gas is expensive (they don?t deliver btw) and that we already agreed over the phone that I can pickup the misplaced order with a full refund on the item. I wish I could stop there but I can?t, the rice and noodles were overcooked and it looks like overcooking/mushy food is a theme with this place according to other objective reviews. Unless you order a spring roll, it will be undercooked and cold in the center. Unreal. I highly suggest you avoid this place and try your luck elsewhere.
