Bidrage med feedbackOverall, not worth the price. I could stay at a holiday inn for what I got here!!! The room furniture seemed cheap, old, and run down. We asked housekeeping to come twice until they finally came to clean our room one day. There was no umbrella service on beach even though advertised Sunday before Labor Day. We waited standing on beach for 30 minutes and no one came. The pool is tiny. We went to breakfast one morning on site it took an hour for them to make our food and the waitress didn’t want to make the juice I wanted. Do NOT let them fool you with the fake Starbucks!!! Absolutely horrendous coffee. Also, the drinks by the pool were legit so watered down!!!!This was not a 4 star stay. The location was great. The dinner at the restaurant was fabulous. I loved having my dogs here too. However, for the price service .. the price tag it just wasn’t what I was expecting!!!!
Good room, no room service, the beach is muddy, there are 3 places to eat including at the pool area. They have what I experienced to be among the best elevators ever. The shuttle service will take you anywhere and pick you up and runs until 11:00 PM. That shuttle service is outstanding. Valet parking and bell service. I could stay there again.
Staff was pleasant and professional. Hair dryer and iron needed replacing. Location has limited restaurants, so if someone is a picky eater you may need to leave the island. Hotel staff refers to The Westin as a full service hotel, and it is, but as nice and modern as it is the place feels sterile. The front lobby is as appealing as the lobby of a large hospital.Rooms: TV programs were extremely limited. Room was clean. You can walk to most everything.
Kudos to the Marriott chain (Westin, Courtyard, Residence Inn) on Jekyll Island for being so sea turtle friendly! I wish ALL hotels on the southeastern coast would follow in your footsteps. Orange lighting on all outside light fixtures on all hotels, education in each room to share with guests about how lights affect sea turtles, and signs posted on the way on the beach access alerting guests about sea turtle nesting season.
Highly recommend The Westin Jekyll Island. We had another wonderful stay at The Westin at Jekyll Island, one of several this year. Jessica Rogers, front office supervisor, was beyond helpful again and I also wanted to mention Jessica Ryles and Anna on the front desk. We very much appreciated the wonderful upgrades and great service. We really enjoyed our oceanfront rooms, breakfast in the restaurant, and the bikes on property. Everything is very convenient to enjoy from the beach access, beach chairs, pool, on-site restaurant, bikes, etc. We will be returning!
