We have eaten here on both sides of the property transfer and it is still excellent. It was a dry evening out, but tasty inside. We started with the brussell sprouts (a veg I traumatized as a child) and they were rich, a little sweet and tasty. My wife had the strip and pommes and I had the duck with green and roasted potatoes. Both were prepared with attention to detail. Finished with the house made Nutella mousse, free since it was a birthday. No remains this night. The service was impeccable. Mitch did a good job and was very knowledgeable in the menu. He was attentive, but he didn't float. The host was gracious and sat in a beautiful window on the upper floor, as the weather does not allow to eat on the terrace. Thanks PH for a wonderful birthday dinner for my bride.
I had the Flat Iron Steak and my husband ordered the Duck. We also have the Truffle Fries as an appetizer Créme Bruleé for Dessert. Very delicious!
What a jewel! Fantastic restaurant on the river with stunning views. It is a beautifully restored house with a scenic dining area and a full bar. The food was first-class. Got the Brussel spits and goat cheese appetizers and pulled pork sandwich. One must see if you visit the area!
This is a jewel of Jeffersonville! Sweet old historic house turned into a charming little restaurant. The warm goat cheese with Brezelbrot is worth the trip alone.
We visited for our anniversary, but didn't have a reservation. We arrived shortly after opening so it wasn't busy for a Saturday, and the host acted like we needed a reservation at first and made a big show of seeing what he had available. The restaurant was empty and while it picked up while we were there, it still was by no means busy. We spent about $85 with tip, so it's not like they lost money by seating us. The atmosphere is really nice, they've done a nice job preserving the architecture of the old house. They also have a patio that seems like it would be nice if it were not downpouring like it was when we were there. I had the griddled meatloaf, which was good, but not the best I've ever had in my life. The potatoes and asparagus that came with it were fantastic. We also had the Korean fried broccoli for an appetizer and it was also amazing. My husband had the pulled pork and said he enjoyed it but he wasn't sure if it was worth $16. Our waitress was also great and friendly and provided good service. They also have a decent wine list. It seemed a little pretentious for what it was. I don't know if we will visit again but we enjoyed our dinner.
