Bidrage med feedbackThe salad I got was delicious however it was really expensive for what you got. Small piece of chicken with one small strawberry cut into slices and some lettuce. The burgers the other people at my table got were dry and just ok. Definitely not worth the price especially when it doesn?t include fries. The staff was friendly and the view was great though.
If I could, I would give 10 stars!! Breathtaking views and impeccable service! Everything was absolutely delicious! We had the Shrimp Po Boy, the bacon onion jam burger, amazing sour cream bacon potato salad, and coconut cream pie for desert. If you?re within an hour, it?s worth the drive!!!
Stayed in the Bear cabin and had an evening meal in the restaurant. Cabin was very clean, well thought out, and in a nice quiet location. The restaurant had a great view, good servers, and was very tasty with reasonable pricing. The owners were very nice and made us feel welcome. Very happy with the whole experience
Great stop on a long ride today. Scenery was beautiful and food was great. Their prices were a bit higher but that?s likely due to the cost of operation given their seclusion.
5 star view. 1 star restaurant. The good: the staff is friendly and the chicken fried steak is good. The salads are small but very well put together. We had a 30 minute wait because they only have a few tables. So we wandered around the gift shop waiting. Once seated, some of the restaurant prices are scary! $3 for a soda and then 50 cents for refills. $32 for a steak and a very very small baked fried potato, which is basically just an oven roasted potato smashed flat with a fork. Took 40 minutes to get our food. They forgot my gravy on my mashed potatoes and my husband 's potatoes had an eyelash in it. The chicken fried steak isn 't priced that bad: $13.99 for the steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, one vegetable and this bread thing they call a pirouette she described is as a roll that they bake and then fry? . The inside of the bread was amazing but the fried crunchy exterior was just soggy and gross. Reminded me of a funnel cake left in the grease too long. The chicken fried steak was cooked to perfection but was a smaller sized cut. The mashed potatoes were great and what little gravy I had was lump-free and steaming hot. The biggest thing here was the people watching. The party next to us was 8 adults and 10 kids, all together. Almost every meal brought out had something wrong. Some ordered pasta with meat and it was sent out without, two steaks were reported underdone, one lady said her shrimp had a hair in it, and two of the parties were brought the wrong food entirely ordered blackened shrimp pasta and was sent chicken pesto . They handled all the issues much better than I feel I might have. They have very limited parking and the decor isn 't bad, although slightly dated. The bathrooms are TINY. Overall, I 'd skip this place and drive on in to Jasper, unless you just want the view.
