Bidrage med feedbackMyself and another family went out for dinner on the terrace of this restaurant. There are many areas on the terrace, especially for children to play before dinner. We tried the cattle breeze, which was delicious and moist. For dessert, we had a berry cake with ice cream, which was also very good.
My wife and I were in town for a few days and our hotel had no breakfast available, so we decided on a buffet in Prime Rib City. We drove where it should be, but we couldn't find it.... After a quick check of the address we soon realized that it was renamed The Whisky Jack Grill. We were both hungry, so we chose the hot buffet for $14.95 over the cold buffet for $9.95. Big mistake. The only thing that was available were scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, a raisin bread of French toast, bacon and sausage. It sounds like a lot, but nothing has been freshened and it reminded me usually I have included in most hotels where I stay. I should have gone to a real restaurant and order ala carte. I know I would have been happy with my meal and much less money.
This restaurant gets some forgiveness from me, because it is so hard to get either a high level or a consistency in seasonal business fluctuations. We had dinner (primary nativity) and breakfast (buffet) as part of a tour group located in the Tonquin Inn...next door. Both meals were satisfactory.
We were not welcomed or attended to at this restaurant. Despite being the only guests in the area, we were seated at a table that was not cleaned properly. The environment was off-putting, the food was inedible, and the cutlery was dirty. We have dined here many times in the past, always enjoying a first-class culinary experience. However, under new management for 2 years, this restaurant is now one to avoid in every way. We urge all nearby hotels to take note of this unacceptable situation. Thank you.
During our stay at the Tonquin Inn, we decided to dine at Prime Rib City on our first night. We both ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich, one with fries and the other with Caesar Salad. We were seated in the lounge area, which was very comfortable and had large viewing windows. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. The service was excellent, with the waiter being friendly and attentive. I highly recommend trying the Prime Rib Sandwich, as it was delicious and filling. The portion sizes were generous, making it worth every penny.
