Pollo Tropical - Jacksonville

Always delicious. If you do not know what to order quarter chicken dark or white with black beans and rice, a small order of fried plantain and a drink. You used to have a section where you could get your own salsa and spices that they were going with him. All you need to do now is ask and they give you some in a container. They also had self-service drinks, no more. I'm not sure it's free refills or not that I didn't get a second on my drink. I can see why they both got rid of Kovid, and because people made a mess and drink without paying for them. I moved over 10 years ago and miss this chain of restaurants they don't have in North Carolina. I remember when they opened their first store in South Miami-Dade County before Hurricane Andrew. Still so delicious.

The food tasted good, and the staff was friendly. But when we finished our meal, a little **** came over the table. I can't. At 3:00 we all got sick. It took about 12-14 hours. I can't prove it was from our dinner, but it's the only meal we all ate. I think I'm done with this place.

If I could give this order, I would do it. They gave me a grill chicken instead of crispy chicken I didn't say cheese, and they added it. I ordered this salad before and it was nothing like this, had not even tomatoes and the taste was just not what I expected. They also did not contain forks or napkins and the tropics were neither large nor much beans and little rice. The bag was muddy with beans. what can I say it was terrible experience.

Delicious food as usual, although we were late in the evening, what would explain why I got some of the chicken scraps in my meal, as well as just a little razor that usually down to the bottom of the chicken stall. But the meal was just as delicious as me? ve ever had it

I work nearby this restaurant and this was my place to go get lunch everyday. 6 years plus loyal customer. Unfortunately, management decided to make each of their popular entrees, wraps and sandwiches individual items so that you have to buy side and drink separately. Which of course makes Pollo Tropical as pricey as a higher end restaurant. Cannot get anything under $10. Definitely they have just lose another loyal frequent customer forever or until they can make their menu affordable. PS: Came today 06/24/22 to get a Tropichop bowl that had a long hair entangled with the tomatoes ????
