Subway - Jackson

I wish I could give TEN STARS to this restaurant. I recently received a text msg from the owner/operator of the location on E. Capitol St, Jackson, MS asking if I had recently purchased a meal through DoorDash from them. I live and work in Maryland; never having visited or having relatives in MS. He immediately suspected fraud and canceled the order. He lost out in a substantial sale but put the integrity of his business first. I am forever grateful as the thief was caught before substantial damage was done. WELL DONE SUBWAY!

If you enjoy Subway, you'll like this one too! This chain has a limited menu but what they do make, they make well. I just love the smell of their bread baking, fresh in the store each day. Today they were especially busy, some convention of High School students here in the Capitol, but despite 20 people in front of me, the line moved quickly and soon I was enjoying my BMT. Probably the only think I'd like better would be if they had longer hours (they close at 4:00pm! but that's got to be more about the lack of any nightlife downtown than with this particular restaurant.

Subway has great food great prices and great customer service.

I understand that it's important for people who handle money to not handle food, but when the only person making sandwiches takes several minutes each and there are over 10 people in line, it's frustrating. The cashier could easily wash their hands and come help instead of standing around. Subway is not worth a 20 minute wait, or even a 1 minute wait. It's disappointing to see employees not caring when the manager or owner is not around. It's clear that they need help, but it also takes effort to be proactive. I cannot support this location with my business.

I have been waiting for my meatballs for over an hour now. The restaurant opened at 9 and it's now 10:30. The woman who opened the restaurant did not greet me, she was too busy talking on her phone. After finishing her phone call with her Bluetooth, she just said that I must want a drink because they don't have anything else ready at the moment.
