Stopped here out of the blue to get a room for the night, what a great surprise! The couple that runs the Inn made us feel like we were one of the family. They made us a wonderful dinner and breakfast, room was very nice. It was a great experience!

What a surprise to find this little restaurant near the Walchensee in a small village just a 2min drive from Jachenau. The menu is small, yet the food is made of fresh and great ingredients – something that's rather hard to find on the countryside. Bavarian based kitchen with a very personal touch. Enjoy the meat or enjoy the fish dishes, fine and excellent! The chef and his charming wife offer real great value to reasonable prices far better than the average gastronomic standard around the touristic Walchensee area...

Everybody we talk to is totally happy with the food here and whenever we want a good meal in the Jachenau we head there. Guests from the Altes Forsthaus in Jachenau are regulars there. And the Norwegian Ladies ski team during the Europa Cup races in Lenggries also enjoyed staying there. The house has its own sauna. A play area for children is in the garden
