Bidrage med feedbackFirst visit here for a long time, with a former colleague. First thumbs up, Harvey’s. Kept remarkably well for a London pub. Food was also great two small plates rather than one large one, beef tartare and mackerel. First rate.
Forget the Thai restaurant on the first floor and tune in to the excellent French restaurant above. Lovely air dried ham, super Brill and Halibut, very tasty desserts and good wines by the glass. Excellent service. Reasonable value. Try not to sit near the entrance as a cold wind can blow up the stairs from the street entrance. A great addition to the Farringdon scene.
Just when you thought this was an ordinary boozer to watch the football what a surprise.!!! A very helpful young chap behind the bar made you feel v welcome in a manically busy pub, no frowns here, and with an excellent choice of ales, ciders and lagers that was good enough until the food turned up. Wow the mackerel on toast was amazing as was the ham. Really great pub!
Stopped by to meet a friend and decided to have a bite to eat, which was a great decision! I had the hickory burger, which had a large, very high quality patty. The chips were great and even the side salad garnish was good. The other half had a pizza , which was thin crust and with an excellent taste. The drinks were very reasonably priced for central London, for example, £12 for a bottle of house wine thats cheaper than all of my locals outside of London! The bar has a large area, so suitable for meeting up with friends. I didn't visit the restaurant upstairs, but im sure it will be of the same high quality as the bar menu, so I will definitely visit it at a later date. Oh and the bar staff are great very pleasant and attentive. Thanks for a lovely afternoon!
Absolutely banging burger and gin (and jäger) but maybe have some cucumber for the Hendricks next time. Still 5/5
