This family run Chinese Restaurant is a hidden gem near Barbican. The quality of food is just so much better than those at China Town. The quality of service is impeccable! We are a family of four who only eat Chinese food. We all agree that the each dish is reasonably priced and tastes authentic! We will definitely return to this restaurant in the near future.

We really enjoyed our visit to New East House. The service was kind (and super fast and the food... oh the food! Everything was delicious! We went before an event in the Barbican and it couldn't be more convenient, a few minutes walking and we were there. We'll definitely come back to try more things from their incredible menu :

Ordered a grilled fish and the taste was amazing. Also came with a lot of vegetables such as tomatoes and lotus roots. Really authentic Chinese grilled fish, table was spacious and the staff were super friendly. Just feel plain rice a bit overpriced, paid 7.6 pounds for two people, other than that all great.
